SPRING TERM 2023
Here is an overview of what we will be learning during the Spring term.

Wingate Sleepover 18-19 May 2023
Please have a look at the Powerpoint for information about our class sleepover in May 2023.
HOMEWORK
MyMaths homework will be set on a Wednesday and is to practise what we have been learning in class. It should only take 10 minutes and should be completed by the following Tuesday. (Remember you can attempt it as many times as you want!) You also have access to TT Rockstars which is a great way for you to learn your times tables.
English homework will be set on a Friday and needs to be completed by the following Friday. You will have 10 spellings to learn which you will stick in your planner. You will also have a grammar homework on a Friday too which should take you no more than 10 minutes. This should be handed into class by the following Wednesday so it can be marked.
We would love you to read as much as you can at home-even 5 minutes every night will really help you in class. Remember, if you do read to an adult, get them to sign your planner and we will give you team points and raffle tickets!
PE INFORMATION
You will need to wear your full school uniform everyday apart from WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY. On these two days, you can wear your P.E. kit for the whole day as this is when you will do your P.E. lessons.
WEDNESDAYS will be PE with Mr Ollier and on FRIDAYS it we will be PE with Stoke City Sports coach Mr Farrington.
For P.E, you will need to wear your navy Pikemere P.E. polo shirt, navy jogging bottoms or shorts, Pikemere P.E. hoodie and suitable trainers. Remember to also tie your hair up if it is long and remove all jewellery.
MUSIC
This term, Year 4 are lucky to be able to learn to play the ukulele with a fabulous teacher Mrs Baker-Wakefield (or Mrs BW as she likes to be called!) You have all now taken home a letter to your parents about bringing your ukulele home after your lesson on a Thursday so thank you to those of you who have returned your letter. We are delighted to let you know that at the end of the term we will be presenting a short ukulele concert to parents to show how amazing we are and what we have learned. More details to follow after half term.
