At Pikemere School, we believe that quality, positive relationships, together with a rich, broad and balanced curriculum and high expectations, provide the best possible experiences of learning for all of our pupils. These values are even more important as we negotiate the challenges faced by Coronavirus.
As we all return to school, alongside essential health and safety guidelines, our key initial focus will be to ensure that we support pupils in their social and emotional health; rebuilding friendships, routines and stamina for learning. We will actively rebuild our sense of community through the shared, quality text, ‘Here we are’ by Oliver Jeffers, which explores our place in world and our connections as human beings. Through our individual class pages, you will see how teachers have chosen to use the text to inform initial writing outcomes and curriculum links, as well as essential information about class routines and timings. Additional, information about returning to school in the Autumn Term can also be found in our Parent Handbook.
